2018 China Weiqi Convention Opens in Nanning on August 8

       On April 9, the 2018 China Weiqi Convention (Guangxi • Nanning) press conference was held in Beijing China Chess Institution. The 2018 China Weiqi Convention (Nanning, Guangxi) is a large-scale Weiqi event for all Go players and fans, which is organized by the China Weiqi Association, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Sports Bureau, and the Nanning Municipal Government, and is undertaken by The Nanning Sports Bureau, the Nanning Sports Association, and Huazhi City Weiqi League Sports Industry Co., Ltd, and is operated by Beijing Huitong Jiuxing Sports Culture Co., Ltd. It will be held from August 8th to August 15th, 2018 in Nanning International Conference and Exhibition Center and Nan Guo Yi Yuan, in the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
     As the most important official comprehensive Go event of the China Weiqi Association every year, it is the largest mental IP in China's Weiqi industry, a test platform for China Weiqi Association’s policy innovation reform, a display platform for the outcome of the Weiqi Association’s reform, and an output platform for Weiqi popularization and public welfare promotion, a promotion platform for the transformation between the old and new kinetic energy of Go research and industrialization, and it is also an academic exchange platform for research on the Go industry. Therefore, in addition to the official competition itself, this convention will also hold important industry conferences including the China Weiqi Association Representative Conference; it is rich in variety activities, full of innovation in the competition system, and a Go Carnival for the participation of the whole people; and its “Go + Artificial Intelligence” expo focus on the application of artificial intelligence in the field of Go, and cover Go chess culture, industrial venture capital, international exchanges, academic discussions, etc.; and it contains Nanning’s local Go activities and events such as City Weiqi League Tournament, China-ASEAN Go Tournament, etc. The China Weiqi Convention will surely become a happy homeland that brings together the wisdom power of all chess players and fans, and a soul sacred land of uniting the hearts and souls of all players and fans.
         The duration of the conference is 8 days. It is estimated that the number of people covered by the publicity will exceed 100 million, and the frequency of publicity will exceed 200 million times. The coverage includes the municipalities directly under the Central Government (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), and Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe and the Americas.
