New Leadership Team of China Weiqi Association Generated

        The China Weiqi Association's reelection meeting was held in the Chinese Chess Institution in the morning of 29 Dec 2017. More than 50 people from the representatives of the provincial Go Association and the Chinese Chess Institution Go Department attended the meeting. Zhao Yong, deputy director of the General Administration of Sport of China, attended the meeting and made an important speech. General Lin Jianchao, former director of the Chian PLA General Political Department Office, was elected as the new chairman of the China Weiqi Association, Luo Chaoyi, director of the Chess and Card Sports Management Center of General Administration of Sport of China, Weiqi Saint Nie Weiping, Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau Director Sun Guangming, National Weiqi Team Excellent Player Chang Hao, Lei Xiang chairman of the Huazhi City Weiqi League Sports Industry Co., Ltd, were elected as vice chairman, and Luo Chaoyi was concurrently appointed as the secretary-general. Everyone warmly applauded the newly elected members of the association and expressed their gratitude to Wang Runan the former chairman of the China Weiqi Association, who made outstanding contributions to the cause of Chinese Weiqi.
